In the 2009-10 season Andy Dowding and Richard Buttinger took over the reins to coach Nottingham’s 1st team to an unprecedented 2nd place finish in the HSKL, the highest league in the country.

Notts 2 faced struggling Castle at home after not having lost a game all season, both in the league and EKA cup. Castle are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table, not having won a game all season, whilst Notts are top of the league and were anticipating a big home win.

On Saturday Nottingham’s undefeated 2nd team travelled to Leeds for a top-of-the-table clash, with both teams equal on points coming into the game. Leeds had the superior goal difference having a resounding 15 goal win over Birmingham under their belts, whilst the 2nds had beaten the same team by only 5 goals.
